Terms of Use

1. Acceptance

By using Bharat Panchang, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You must be legally able to accept these Terms; users under 18 should use the app only with a parent or lawful guardian.

2. What the app provides

Bharat Panchang provides calendar, Panchang, festival, vrat, reminder, offline, and optional cloud-backup features. Guest use does not require an account. Features may change, improve, pause, or be discontinued as the product develops.

3. Panchang and religious-information disclaimer

Calculations depend on astronomical models, location, time zone, selected tradition, source datasets, and software versions. Regional customs and qualified authorities may reach different conclusions. Content is provided for general informational and planning purposes and is not a substitute for guidance from your trusted priest, temple, scholar, astrologer, or community authority.

Do not rely on the app as the sole basis for medical, legal, financial, safety-critical, or other high-consequence decisions. Verify important dates and muhurta independently.

4. Accounts and security

You are responsible for controlling access to your Google account, browser, and devices. Provide accurate information and promptly report suspected unauthorized access. You may not impersonate another person or attempt to access another user’s private records.

5. Your information and content

You retain responsibility for personal profiles, events, notes, reminders, and other information you enter. You confirm that you have authority to store information about family members or other people. You grant us only the limited permission needed to host, process, synchronize, and deliver the features you request.

6. Acceptable use

You must not:

• break the law, violate another person’s rights, or upload information without authority;
• probe, bypass, overload, disrupt, scrape, or reverse-engineer protected parts of the service;
• introduce malware, automate abusive traffic, or misuse notification infrastructure;
• use the service to harass, deceive, discriminate, or cause harm; or
• resell or falsely represent Bharat Panchang or its datasets as your own service.

7. Third-party services

Google, Supabase, Vercel, browser vendors, and push services provide parts of the app. Their own terms and policies apply to their services. We are not responsible for outages, account restrictions, or changes controlled by those providers.

8. Availability and backups

The service is provided on an “as available” basis. Offline caches, browser storage, free hosting limits, network failures, software defects, or provider outages may affect access. Keep independent copies of information that is important to you. Signing in does not make the app a guaranteed archival or emergency-notification service.

9. Intellectual property

The app’s original software, design, branding, and curated content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Third-party libraries, datasets, names, and marks remain subject to their respective licenses and owners’ rights.

10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we make no warranty that calculations, reminders, translations, availability, or stored information will always be complete, uninterrupted, or error-free. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss arising from use of or inability to use the app. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11. Suspension, termination, and changes

We may restrict abusive or unlawful use and may update these Terms as features or legal obligations change. Continued use after an updated effective date means you accept the revised Terms. You may stop using the app, clear local data, revoke Google access, and request cloud-account deletion at any time.
